Chicken Tenders and Rustic Rounds
| Last night when I purchased the fried chicken I also bought a few chicken tenders meant for lunch the next day. We both forgot to take them for lunch, and had them tonight for dinner. Ron cut up the leftover yellow potatoes into Rustic Rounds and fried them in the deep fryer. Yellow potatoes also have no flavor when fried. They also do not crisp when fried. I love potatoes. They are the food I would want if stranded on a desert island. But I am disappointed in the yellow potato. Please if I am ever stranded and only have one food, do not make them yellow potatoes. Yukon Golds have become my favorite. They are just so versatile and have a great natural flavor. Two potatoes I want to try are Fingerling potatoes and blue potatoes. I've had the fingerling roasted at my friend Chi's home and they were great. I've never had the blue potatoes. Has anyone out there ever tried them? Are they any good?
